Demands of the Initiative Uni Göttingen Unbefristet to the Presidential Board of the University of Göttingen Public online event on the „Zukunftsvertrag Studium und Lehre stärken“ – Future treaty to strengthen study and teaching

The money is there permanently – we want permanent jobs!

The “Zukunftsvertrag Studium und Lehre stärken“ – Future treaty to strengthen study and teaching concluded between the federal and state governments is intended to make the funds previously allocated via the “Hochschulpakt” (Higher Education Pact) more permanent and to make them available to the universities on a permanent basis. In this context, the creation of permanent positions should also be explicitly implemented. But the states and university administrations want to use the funds for all kinds of things, except for the creation of permanent positions. This will only change if we exert pressure! Within the framework of the “Hochschulpakt” and the “Zukunftsvertrag”, additional first-year study vacancies have been or will be created, which must be reported separately by the universities. We demand that the personnel resources used to expand study capacities be used entirely to finance additional permanent positions! Because: the money is there – it just has to be used correctly. We demand from the Presidential Board of the University of Göttingen:

· Transparent and public proof of the personnel resources (academic staff and MTV staff) used and planned for the permanent expansion of study capacities within the framework of the “Hochschulpakt” and “Zukunftsvertrag”.

· Creation of additional permanent posts corresponding to the funds compared to 2005

· Transparent listing and comparison of temporary and permanent positions 2005 and 2020/21
